Love this Lady Gaga shoot from Vanity Fair. The dress they’ve put her in is remarkable. Volumes and volumes of fabric create this brilliant billowing effect, virtually cocooning her in the fabric reminisce of Hermes scarves. The tiny crown placed on her head looks slightly withered yet still manages to dominate.

A metallic bodice that seems to be channeling armor and a skirt of clear PVC provides for an interesting look. Surprisingly, a great deal of motion and fluidity is expressed despite the undoubted stiffness of the materials used. And can I just say the shoes are wicked but I’m reminded of Gwen Stefani’s look a couple of years back when she wore John Galliano in the Alice in Wonderland themed video.
